The St. Louis Business Journal reports that The University of Missouri-St. Louis received a $3.1 million, five-year grant to increase in-school counseling services at the Riverview Gardens School District in north St. Louis County. The new Partnership for Antiracist Counselor Training program will place 64 counseling interns from UMSL’s College of Education in 13 “high-need schools” to provide “trauma-informed, antiracist social-emotional learning,” officials reported. The grant was made through the U.S. Department of Education’s Mental Health Service Professional Demonstration Grant Program. You can read more about the program in the St. Louis Business Journal.
